Invisible Inventories: Invisible Conversations with Njoki Ngumi and Jim Chuchu

Our very own Jim Chuchu and Njoki Ngumi recorded a series of conversations titled ‘Invisible Conversations’! It is a limited podcast series where artists and curators expound further on their works, currently being presented at the ongoing Invisible Inventories exhibition. The exhibition, and other previous interventions like the Object Movement Dialogues, are part of the International Inventories Programme.

In these podcast episodes, they discuss the pieces We Were Just Exploring, Of National Importance and Value Addition. They also expand on the collector biography of the (in)famous Louis Seymour Leakey, the stolen (by Colonel Richard Meinertzhagen) and still missing head of famed Nandi orkoiyot (political and spiritual leader) Koitalel Arap Samoei, and the mysterious disappearance of the fossilized remains of Orrorin tugenensis, a hominid ancestor who was unearthed in Kenya.
